Who We Are & What We Do

Black Widow Studios is a freelance web design company owned and operated by me, Rob Curcuru. Besides designing custom web sites, I also produce a variety of print materials and numerous works of digital art. I also edit digital video, take conceptual photography, and manage email marketing campaigns for clients. If it’s a form of design, I probably do it. If you need something unique, email me.

My Background

From the time I was still in middle school, I knew that I wanted to be an artist. But I never realized at the time that it could be a possible career. It wasn’t until taking an elective design course years later that I fully understood the potential and significance of art in our society. I immediately transferred to the Art Institute to pursue a career as a graphic artist. While completing my degree program I realized that I loved designing for on-screen viewing. There was just something about seeing a colorful design on a computer monitor. So, upon obtaining my associate degree in Graphic Design, I enrolled in the Interactive Media & Web Design bachelor program. Two years later I graduated with a solid understanding of designing over a broad range of media.

Today I operate Black Widow Studios out of my home office. I continue to strengthen my skill set through self-teaching, and look forward to each new challenge placed before me.
